THE SHECHINAH PHONE
Your direct line to the Shechinah.
Read what Noam Elimelech had to say about one’s relationship to the Shechinah:
“...Behold, we are in this bitter exile which ‘in our troubles Hashem also has trouble,’ and the Shechinah is exiled with us. We should only worry and complain about the exile of the Shechinah and not think at all about our own troubles, rather just about the pain and exile of the Shechinah. And if our orientation and pain were only on the pain of the Shechinah and not on our own pain, it is certain that we would be redeemed immediately. But we are human and unable to tolerate our troubles and pains, therefore our days of bitter exile are extended because of our sins, due to the fact that we combine our pain with the pain of the Shechinah and we are worried about our own pain. But if there was one tzaddik like above [who could do that], he would rescue the entire world from the exile.” (Noam Elimelech, end of parshas Shemos, s.v. yayeisheiv)

We all know how difficult it can be at times to bear the pains and anxieties of our own lives. Think of what it must be like for the Shechinah, who comprises all and everyone that is in the world, and therefore “feels” the pain of everyone’s life, all at the same time! So even though you may not be the tzaddik that’s mentioned above, any amount of time that you can spend commiserating with the Shechinah will help to lighten Her load. And make sure you pay close attention to what you say during those times, because you will inevitably wind up saying important words of trust and belief in Hashem, which will be helpful not only to the Shechinah but to yourself as well.
The Shechinah Phone comes in the same models and has the same construction as The Ribone Phone except it’s a little smaller and has a light smoky-grey hue.

SELECTED RELEVANT QUOTATIONS FROM SEFORIM HAKEDOSHIM
ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF SOME OF THE ABOVE AND OTHER QUOTATIONS
· (Zohar HaKodesh, parshas Yisro 86b) “The prayer of the poor person, when he faints, and pours out his speech before Hashem” (Tehilllim 102:1). When he complains before Hashem (Masok Midivash: when he complains before his Master about his poverty and joins in the poverty of the Shechinah), this is pleasing before Hashem because the world is established through this…. And the prayer of a poor person is definitely called prayer (Masok Midivash: Definitely the prayer of a poor person is called prayer because the poor person joins in the pain of the Shechinah, who is poor and lowly, and She is raised up through the prayer of the poor person.)
· (Zohar HaKodesh, parshas Terumah, 135a-b) The way of the world is, when someone wants to marry a man’s wife, he is strict and does not allow him to. But HaKadosh Baruch Hu is not like that. It is written, “And this is the Terumah,” this is Kanesses Yisrael (Masok Midivash: this is the Shechinah). Even though all Her love is to Him and His love is to Her, He takes Her from Him, from that high place, to have Her dwell among them.
· (Baal Shem Tov on the Torah, parshas Shemos, no. 9, from the sefer Ben Poras Yosef) The Shechinah includes all the worlds of mineral and vegetable life, and everything created, good and bad…. And the true Unity is the Shechinah.
· (Baal Shem Tov on the Torah, parshas Shemos, note 6, from Heichal HaBerachah) Because the Shechinah includes all the Worlds and everything that is created in the world, and all the thoughts of man. Everything, whether good or bad, has within it the existence of His Godliness, His name will be blessed.
· (Degel Machaneh Ephraim, parshas Ve’eschanon, s.v. mitzvah) …because the person is one of the “limbs” of the Shechinah…. Because everything that is in a person, including everything that happens to him, is all in the Shechinah.
· (Shulchan HaTahor, Maamar Niflos HaBorei, p. 126b, s.v. ubizeh) It is brought in the holy sefer, Chesed L’Avrohom… The End Of Days is dependent on the descent [of the Shechinah], and when she ceases going down, immediately she will rise up in one instant. And therefore, he who knows and understands the depths of the Great Abyss [Tahom Rabbah] which is the dwelling place of the tamei Chitzonim and their tamei spheres and chambers, from there he will know the secret of The End. Because he will see the Shechinah and the place in which She stands, and how many levels remain for Her in her descent, and how many She descends each day, and from this he will know and understand the depths of the secret of galus and The End, for they are dependent on one another.
· (Rav Dessler, Michtav Mi'Eliyahu, vol. 4, p. 68) The category of “Shechinah” is the point of attachment (diveikus to Hashem) that remains in a Jew even [when he is] at a low madrega (level).
The Other Side Of The Coin .
· (Rav Dessler, Michtav Mi'Eliyahu, vol. 3, p. 73) From the other side, the words of the Gaon, Rabbi Yisrael Salantar, zt”l, are known, that we need to pray for our physical needs, for if we only pray for the needs of the Shechinah, the falseness will be recognized within our actions and our prayer will be fake from within.
