THE PRAYER PACER
(See our companion product idea, The Geulah Siddur.)
It FORCES you to pray with REAL KAVANAH!

In order to counteract our tendency to follow that compelling internal voice which frequently tells us, while we’re davening or benching, to “hurry up and get it over with already;” and in order to chip away somewhat at that age-old dictum that says that no one is able to daven with kavanah1 - voice-recorded on this handy, portable MP3 player (which comes with detachable headphones) is a complete weekday siddur, which includes all of davening, benching, Krias Sh'mah al HaMitah, Asher Yotzar, etc., all spoken at a moderate pace, with each word said clearly, with simple meaning, and distinct from the word before it and after it.
Every name of Hashem, as well as every pronoun refering to him (You, to You, He, etc.) throughout the siddur, is preceded and followed by a very short pause, for emphasis (as if you are calling Him).
There is a short pause before the start of every brochah and a very short pause between the first five words of every brochah. In other words, a standard brochah starts: || Baruch | Atoh | Hashem | Elokeinu | Melech HaOlum, instead of the usual Baruchatohhashemelokeinumelechhaolum).

Shemoneh Esrei is said in a whisper, with a noticeable pause between each brochah; and there is a similar pause between each brochah of benching, each kapitel of Tehillim in Pesukei Dizimra, Halle , etc.
By following along with The Prayer Pacer as you say the words yourself, you will properly pace yourself and be able to hold yourself back from speeding ahead, falling behind or drifting off, and forgetting what you are saying. The Prayer Pacer also helps to anchor you in the face any distractions that might occur in your place of davening.
And you’ll be amazed at how quickly and effortlessly you’ll be davening with REAL KAVANAH.
The Prayer Pacer is fully programmable so that you can follow along with any or all parts in which you are interested. You can delete, stop, go back or jump ahead to wherever you want. Enter your city, date and time, and The Prayer Pacer will automatically include those additional special prayer sections which are appropriate for the day or season.
1 (Tosafos, Shabbos 118b, s.v. iyun) …as it says in the Yerushalmi, Give credit to your head because when you reach “Modim” [in Shemoneh Esreh] it bows by itself.
“I can’t believe it! I’ve never davened like this before! It’s like Hashem has suddenly given us permission to daven with real kavanah!”
“I know! It’s like a curse has finally been taken off of us! Baruch Hashem!!”
“And I don’t have to pretend that I’m davening with kavanah anymore!! That’s the best thing of all! I DON’T HAVE TO PRETEND ANYMORE!!!”
Don’t believe it? How could it possibly be?
Try doing it on your own for a while and you’ll see for yourself.
